To do this you need a meter. I have a Sunpro multimeter that cks dwell, volts, amps and ohms. If you do a lot of engine tuning this is a handy tool500sec said:how do you check the dwell?I did not see a window on the cap.
i have installed a pertronix ignitor , purchased from Retro rockets which i think is located in conneticut made a lot of difference especially cold starting which is quite a problem over in england round about december-february time, well worth the £50 ($75)Joe Van Datta said:If you install the Pertronix kit (about $75) dwell is no longer a factor as you eliminate the condensor and points. Once you set the gap when you install the kit you are home free.
The insructions come with the kit.
