I just bought a 66' coupe and it got to me and I found the wipers, windows & headlights aren't working. Can anyone tell me where Ifind the fuse panel and what fuses i need?

The fuse panel is behind the kick plate in the passenger side foot well. The wipers are hydraulic, so something else is going on there. For the others, check the fuses, but don't rule out switches, bulbs and/or relays on these old cars.

Thanks, Bob. That much I had figured out. Actually, it appears that the controls for the wipers are missing completely, which would explain a lot. I just got the car home yesterday so I'm discovering stuff as I go. :)

I guess you know engine has to be running for wipers to work

Thanks, Steve. I changed most of the fuses out. Seems there'sa lot of 7.5 amp fuses in the panel. Thanks for the tip on the wipers too, think I'm going to be replacing a lot of parts on this car, starting with the wiper controls :) I noticed yesterday that they're totally missing. This is what happens when you buy online, right? :)

Depending on what your missing, I might have the replacement parts you need. Mine is a 64, but many parts interchange. Let me know what you're missing.

However, unless you have a lot of rain, I'd start with the steering column and shifter. These cars are notorious for wearing out in this area and falling out of park, usually at the worst possible moment.

Thanks. I pulled apart the section of the dash where the wiper switch should be and it's entirely gone. I'll have to look further into it but I'm curious if maybe the wipers were previously converted over to electrical as I can only find a red/black lead and a white one that aren't hooked to anything. If you have the entire system, I could just start from scratch. Or maybe I'll just replace whatever might be left there and go electric. Either way, I need at least the control switch for the dash. What parts have you got to spare & what are you asking for them?

Did you remove the clock pod? On my 64, it looks like this:

Underneath the clock pod is a bracket that supports the actuators. This photo is of a dash I'm getting ready to install in my car, so items are loose and look crooked, but they are in decent shape:

The two levers on the left run the wipers (with the cable, as shown) and the washer. Those on the left open and shut the fresh air vents. I have two of these brackets because of the dash project, so you are welcome to one of them. Is this what you need?

Not sure if you can send a private message on this forum, but if so, and this is the part you need, send me your address and I'll ship you the bracket.

That's exactly it. I have the vent switches in but nothing where the wipers should be. Didn't notice a cable when I opened up the clock pod but, that said, I also found what appears to be a wiring harness laying loose in the trunk. Give me a price for that switch and I'll send you my mailing address. I looked at your profile & it says you're in California. I'm in Canada so I should at least pay the duty and shipping

I'll send you a private message. It looks like I can send just the levers for the controls on that side.
