You can remove the booster from the engine compartment. Four nuts hold it to the bracket. First remove the master cylinder, then the four nuts (must be a contortionist here as well), pull the booster way from the bracket, remove the cotter pin from the pin that holds the linkage, push the pin out of the booster linkage (it will only come out part way) and remove the booster. This can be done with the hood on, much easier with the hood off the car!
