Hydraulic Wiper Motor

My wipers weren't working so I pulled the wiper motor out, cleaned it up a little and made sure everything is working freely. Now that I see how the motor is supposed to work, is there any way to bench test it before I put it back in?

I would just hook it up to the power steering lines and try it.

That's what I did

...and it worked. So now I got wipers. I think the cable was sticking. I freed that up and lubed it. Thanks
