Help needed with door removal assembly

Hi: need some help to best remove the door to do some body work:have the upper and lower hinges and bolts removed, but the center one has a rivet(?) assembly, is like a prop to hold the door open. Should the rivet be cut off with angle grinder, or what? Thanks for any or all help. In a VoTech Collision repair class, second semester. Taking the door in to work on rather than trailering in the car every week a hundred miles.

Hello,
I ran into the same problem. What I was told to do was to grind the rivet from the bottom, then tap it out through the top. Then you can dropit in the from the top and reuse it.
