heating coil

My heating coil went out and its getting perty cold. im getting another one and plan on putting it in really soon, but i dont know what to take apart and what to do to get to it to switch them out. i have a feeling its behind the airbag but i hope not, and i surely dont want to mess up the airbag. someone please tell me how to get back there??? :mad

If you are referring to the heater core, then you have to remove the entire dashboard to get at it. It will take about 6 - 8 hours to swap it out.

airbag clockspring

I may be posting this in the wrong thread, but I don't know how to start a new thread.

My question is this: Is it possible for the Do-It-Yourselfer to replace the clockspring in the steering column? If I can, is there a chance the airbag will deploy? Has anyone replaced a clockspring?
