My 10000k turbo coupe just began to drip antifreeze out of the lower blower port and steam vapor from the upper ports. I assume this is because of a bad heater core. Can someone back me up on this. If this is the case, how difficult is a heater core replacement and where can I get a new heater core? Do the Chilton manuals explain the procedure? I only drive the car spring-Fall and was thinking maybe to just bypass the heater core hoses at the firewall. Good idea or not?

Thanks
Ron

its definitly your heater core, I have the same problem with my 88 TC I bypassed mine for now but I am going to change the heater core soon, I know that you have to drop the steering column and pull the dash out a little to get to the heater box I dont know if the chilton shows how to do it.. I have the Haynes repair manual and its about as worthless as a car with no engine. I'll change my heater core and let you know what I run into and give you some pointers of what to do. hope I can help...

well I cant seem to find the time to put in a new heater core, everytime I think about doing something with the bird the woman starts to bitch... I'll see what I can find out for you.
