Graham: Thanks for posting pix of your 1979 Bird. I do Love your 79 Bird. Looks like it has many desirable options:
Colors that enhances the vehicle, front cornering lights, leather interior?, T-Tops!!!, deluxe bumpers, and all the other gadgets. Congratulations. How many miles on it? thanks, tim

Tim, I just rolled over 52,000 original miles today. it has the split vinyl seats, power windows, sport guages, am-fm tape, passenger vanity mirror, and side trim I havent seen before. I know there are more options I havent listed. Thanks a bunch! I really enjoy this car.

Tim, do you have any idea where they hid the build sheets in these cars?

That's a nice clean T-top. I think my build sheet was under the back seat cushion between the foam and the springs. Can anybody else confirm or deny that?

Build sheet, 77-79 Birds

Tim, do you have any idea where they hid the build sheets in these cars?

Graham: My 79 Bird--built in Chicago--had two buildsheets. One was located under the carpet in the back seat area. Had to take out the back seat, lift up the carpet totally and there it was-in excellent condition. But you may find it under the back seat itself, up in the springs area.

The other one was located under the front seat, up in the springs--in about 100 pieces. Had to take out the front seat to see it.

I've found other sheets under the fire blanket (hood blanket). You never know where the last guy on the line would put them. Best wishes in finding it. Let us all know. tim
