The power top motor on my 60 convertible has leaked out all the hydraulic fluid, don't know why, it just started leaking one day...the decklid will only raise about 6 or 7 inches, so I pulled out the back seat where I could see the pump, but only see 1 slot on it where a regular screwdriver fits, on the back end of the cylinder. Is this where the hydraulic fluid goes? I know it will leak out again, but right now am just trying to get the top down. Anyone know? Thanks in advance, Jim...

The filler plug has a screwdriver slot to remove the plug. You might do better to disconnect the deck cylinders and open the deck lid to gain access. Then you could fill the pump reservior easily.

Have someone press "top Down" switch (this opens the deck solonoids to allow free flow of fluid to/from the deck pistons. Then manually pull up the deck. It's a tough pull but it gives you some idea of the pressure the pump puts out to work these tops & decks.
