Hey guys, this time I have a relatively easy question...my 79 Thunderbird has the aluminum turbine style wheels. I would like to know, what do you guys think is the best way to get them lookin' nice and clean? Mine are gold-colored, and a little brake dust has built up.(From poor maitenance from previous owner...it has not been driven while I owned it...poor running condition...) Thanks for any tips you can give me!

while I have no cleaning tips, i do have a qestion regarding these wheels. I've got 2 sets, one on dad's 79 and another on dad's 68 LTD. I have all the caps on the 79, and I have 1 cap on the LTD. Does anyone have any caps, in NOT perfect shape, for sale? dad wants to put an LTD emblem on the center instead of the t-bird, so I don't want perfect caps to use. The car will get different wheels in a few years.

Heh, what a cooincidence! My car only came with one center cap when I bought it! I would love a new set as well, but prices seem a tad high...cheapest ones I have seen were $40 apeice, but then again, those were either N.O.S. or in perfect condition...I love the way these wheels look, even without the centercaps, I would just for them to be wider and wrapped in some nice 285's...but who knows.
