Any suggestion would be appreciated.
At about 150K, my 1994 LX would have the following symptoms. When the key is removed and exiting the car (driver door open), the chime sounds as if the headlights were left ON. Also, when removing the key and remaining in the car, the chime sounds as when you are exiting while leaving the keys in the ignition. Also, when starting the car and then immediately turning on the headlights, the "fasten seatbelt" indicator lights--eventhough my seatbelt is secured. One strange thing is that when I place the seat belt fastner into the base, or fully engage the release button (driver's), the chime will not sound and will in fact act normal. Any suggestions??? I have thought that something may have slid into the center console and is shorting out this circuitry.
Thank you for any assistance.
