When I first got this 65 I thought the water in the trunk was from the rotted drain tubes. So I replaced them. The car was in completely dry storage so not until I took a hose to it did the leaks become an issue. Seems as though the water is seeping in from right under that molding on the side of the roof near the bottom where it meets the top of the rear fender. I pulled the window moldings and the chrome rear vent and cleaned, sanded and resealed quite a bit in these areas. I also sealed the trunk from the inside under the rear molding. Mucm better but as of today still just a drop or two of water from one side. Moldings off again and I just resealed again. Obviously I am on the right track to repair it because it improved. No trunk kit until completely dry though. I also pulled the trunk gasket(no leaks) and sanded the light surface rust in the channel and primed, painted and reinstalled the gasket yesterday. This worked out real well. Anyone else have any woes with this either from the molding or the rear window itself??
