I am restoring the interior of my 57 and am trying to find out how to remove the aluminum panel to touch up paint on the dash brow. I am replacing most of the aluminum trim as well. I am trying to do this without removing the dash from the car. The steering column and seat are out. Can this panel be removed without removing all the instruments?

Look for screws on the ends and inside of the glove box. You will have to remove the various controls (light switch, ignition, lighter, etc) as the bezels hold the panel

I see most of those screws. Can the main panel around the gauges be removed as well without removing the gauges themselves? It seems the bezels hold the metal on so if I remove the rings, will the trim come off?
