I have an 88 T-bird I'm working on getting working right.. It was running fine until the fuel pump failed. So I installed an OEM replacement as well as a fuel filter replacement.. Now it has VERY LITTLE power.. I don't know what the problem could be. I've reset the ECU (via pulling the batt cable and pumping brakes to discharge system). Not really sure what else could be wrong. Thanks in advance!

wow just like xenon and you both are in oregon...maybe its the water...

I dont know I replaced the pump in my '87 3.8L but did have those problems.
But since it is happening to both of you I bet it is a common problem and someone knows what it is.

i'll check in to see what you figure out...

good luck

Me and Xenon are actually friends.. its the same T-bird.. Did he post on this board as well? What a putz.. anyways.. same T-bird.. So.. no clue eh? We'll probably figure it out. I'm hoping its timing.

Is this the turbo motor? Did u get a fuel pump for a turbomotor or a NA motor. There is a difference. If turboed you should have 43# of fuel pressure. Need to check this and let us know what that is? Also pull the codes on this and post as well! Denny
