i have an '87 thunderbird with a v6 motor in it, and the car will run sometimes when it runs at all, and not for a long time either. like 5 minutes at idle.

symptoms:
at idle the motor will sometimes speed up after a single misfire come back to idle and repeat the process a time or two then die. have hooked up a timing light to it. and the missfire is due to the lack of spark at, at least one cylinder. since it is all computer controlled, the comp. actuates the throttle alittle to compensate.
also, when i have it up to 2000rpms it will run for a minute then just shut down. again this is due to the ignition cutting out i have found.

have replaced the ignition module, battery cables, and computer. i am at a loss as to what is causing the ignition to cut in and out. sometimes the car wont even start. it will try to but will not start and run. anybody have an suggestions?

after some tinkering i have found that my problem, or at least part of my problem is that my fuel injectors are not firing, its intermittant, and i suspect moisture is to blame shorting them out somewhere. also had a loose ground connector from the pigtail off the neg. battery cable. have fixed that. any ideas of where to look for water getting in or common places for wire problems to occur?
