Rare "decontented " 'Bird. Only option on car is the fact it is a Town Hardtop. Currently faded Black exterior, (original color is what I call "Band-aid Biege") with an Emberglo interior. 390 4v runs strong, recent tranny rebuild. The car starts, runs, drives turns fine, it also stops, but the brake booster needs attention. I sold this car to the current owner a few years ago. Always described it a Fairlane 500 in T-Bird drag. Asking price is $3500.00, Way to high, I offered $1000, but I really don't need the thing. John is moving to Texas from Arizona in a few weeks so he may get very motivated to sell. You can contact him via 602-475-9776, or email me @ [email protected] and I'll put you in touch. It's a good car, either to restore, or as a clean parts car ( body panels are straight and unrusted) and I'd hate to see her go to the knackers yard.

Decontented

Decontented means, in this context, that the car was devoid of any but the barest of options. The only thing this car had over a basic Thunderbird Hardtop of 1966 was the fact it had the "Town Hardtop" roofline and overhead console. No other options or power accessories other than what was "standard" at the time.
