Cool car, pretty clean, I'd love to hear plans for it.
But I kinda gotta agree with mike, that hump looks like it came of an early 70't thunderbird, but hey, if it's all original or not, it's a cool, clean car.

no offense, but now i realize why i laugh so much at the "continental kits" people put on cars. that trunk lid is HIDEOUS!

otherwise the car seems to have a ton of potential......460???

I was thinking more along the lines of a 302 HO out of a mustang or a lincoln LSC and maybe an AOD transmission. so you dont think that the continental is factory? I will do some talking with the current owner and ask them who they got it from and what they did after they bought it.. close up it looks like the body filler that they used to smooth it up is cracking. there was a 75 here a while back that had the same problem. Thanks again Graham

what if the continental package is something that ford did without telling anyone about. I know that they do stuff like that alot. even the 40 years of thunder book says nothing about the continental

hey,
An injected overdrive bird is cool! I love my big blocks, but 5.0s make great cruising moters on little gas. That's the way my dad's 79 will be going... once i paint it all one color, and do brakes, and get a new seat and... well, I will advise you that if you ever get a car your father loves, DON'T HAVE HIM GET ANOTHER LIKE YOURS! he loves to have me work on it. So, other than the modern drivetrain, what other mods are in store?
