I am currently restoring a 1966 hardtop. This was a texas car w/ no rust, and I am having fun restoring it. Any suggestions or hints on removing the interior and replacing it would be appreciated.

Kelly, I know you're having fun on this because I did the same thing to my '64 five years ago.

I had no trouble and replaced all the rubber window trim, the carpets, and a few missing pieces etc. I was able to get everything I needed from the T-Bird Sanctuary out in Oregon. They're nice people who offer advice as you need it, too.

Mostly I cleaned and polished, and I repainted the flat-black parts of the aluminum trim. People are always commenting about how nice my car's interior looks -- and it was mostly simple cleaning and shining.

Let me know how it turns out!

Not much activity in THIS thread - and I bet some of the older members must have some sound generic restoration tips etc?
