just bought a nice 66 bird only problem seems to be the light staying on.even pulled the fuse and still stays on?owner said it was working fine untill they changed the back speakers.any ideas would help thanks

It might help to know if your car has the delay switch, which turns off the light or the switch in the seat belt retractor. Are you sure you pulled the correct fuse?

Do I understand you correctly? You don't think the seat belt warning light has anything to do with the seat belts? If that's true, to what does the light relate? Brakes?
Regardless, what causes the light to come on or go off?

i believe the light stays on for just a short time then goes off.i think it,s just a reminder to tell you to put it on?i may be wrong though

If the light stays on for a short time and then goes out it is working correct and you have the Bi-Metal switch set up. As Harley said they also had a switch in the drivers side belt retractor

So where is the Bi-Metal Relay?

Located at? Mine just comes on for a few seconds then turns off so there must be a delay unit.
