1955 Tbird Top

Received the following through a contact form:

I ran across your forum on the internet and was looking for a little help on identifying this convertible top and value. (Please see attached pics). My father-in-law was a car junkie and when he passed away, we had 4 garages full of parts. We brought this top back east with us and trying to figure out its current value. We were told from a friend of his that it is a original 1955 thunderbird top.

If you could give me any information based on the attached pictures, I really would appreciate it.

I'm not an expert on the tops, but it certainly looks like a t-bird top. I've seen aftermarket tops, and they general don't have latches that look original like that. It does appear to be missing the swing arm, which will affect its value.
