I saw many years ago a magazine called "The Classic Thunderbird" and published by the Classic Thunderbird Association. Both of these entities are defunct, I believe. In any event, one issue from the late 1970's described a procedure (which may have been originally in a service bulletin)for grinding off some metal from the 1955 soft top frame and doing some other repairs in order to eliminate the tendency of the frame to pinch and tear the fabric when the top was put down. Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of these procedures? I also believe that they also had fix for a similar problem with 1956 tops, but that the exact repair procedures differed between the two years.
Thanks much.
