I would like to fit a convertible top to my '56. Has anyone bought or fitted one of the new reproduction convertible tops? I would also consider an original one, to refurbish, but don't seem too easy to find.

What is the purpose of the exhaust control valve at the RH manifold outlet? Mine rattles, and Im thinking I will take it out.

Yes, I think I will put it back. I did put brand new coils in the front. As far as the rear is concerned, I may have to put a spacer between the spring and axle on the right side to lower it. Also will try leaving the insulator rubber out on the left side, which will raise it a bit.

Does anyone know the correct setting of the rear leaf springs on a '56? If they were, say, standing up-side-down on the ground, what should their height measurement be?

Hard Top Latches I see what the problem is now. My latches are made up of parts from 2 versions. I have 50590B (early '56) bayonet tips, and 50595B (56/57) shafts. This puts everything 90 degrees out. Thanks for the help.
