My rear spare tire stone guard got crunched.Do you all think this can be fixed or is it junk? Can a bump shop straighten it?

Has anyone put any kind of sound deadener or heat shield padding or aluminum sheeting under their seat or carpet. I was thinking of doing it, being i have the carpet out. Does it really help that much? Is it costly?

I am new to the site and from clinton twp. Michigan.I just got a 1956 thunderbird that was in a local garage sitting for i.m guessing 4 years. Lady said her husband died and she wanted it out . Looking forward to reading the post here.I have attached some pictures of when i found it.

How do you adjust the neutral safety switch? Is there a step by step process on line somewhere? Thanks guys.
