    Temp Gauge Replacement

    Has anyone replaced the temperature gauge without removing the whole front panel? The manual says it can be done by just removing the temp guage lens. I found that difficult because of difficulty of reconnection to the wire leads.

    valve guide seals 351M

    My 78 smokes a bit. Smokes a lot after sitting but not too bad once it has run a while. The car has 70,000 miles. Are valve seals a common issue? I have had the car only a short time and I believe it sat for a while. Thanks Scott
