    Headlight switch

Has any body heard of using a 61-63 headlight switch and shortening the shaft? I found a listing for this in a catalog, but I wanted to see if any one has had any experience with this. Terry

    Headlight switch

I called Bird nest and they have a switch for $85.00 and that is probably the way I'll go because I want to replace the switch only once. I found a couple of used switches, but they are almost as much money. Terry

    Headlight switch

Does anyone know where I can find a new or good used headlight switch for a 1964 T-Bird for less than the $80.00 I was recently quoted? Also, does anyone have a working or not 1964 am/fm radio they want to sell or part with for a good price? Thank you Terry

    tail & brake lights

I am hoping ya'll can help me. I have a 1964 Bird, headlights and dashlights work OK but the tail lights and brake lights don't work at all. Is there a common place to start on these cars? I.E. do they have a conventional brake light switch or is there a fuse that controls the tail and brake...

    why a 64 thunderbird???

There are some differences between the years. with a 1965 car you get the front disk brakes and sequential turn signals. Also, there were fewer cars produced overall in 1965, which could translate to higher value in the future. I think it comes down to a matter of personal preference and what...

I am in need of a right tail light lens for my 1964 standard hardtop. Also need the chrome trim ring for the inner headlight on the right front. Anybody have anything, or know where I can get them for a good price? Any help would be appreciated. Terry

    WOW

I agree with 500, 1964 'Birds are beautiful! But, on the other hand, I am a little biased. I grew up with a couple of 64's and I just bought one myself. :D

    Shift Lever

I am not very experienced with regards to T-birds, howerver you might check and make sure that the pin used is not a tapered pin. I know that on quite a few transmissions they use tapered pins that are only removeable in one direction. might be a long shot, but worth checking out. Terry

    1964 Tail lights

I had assumed the T-bird sequentials would be similar to the ones in the '67-'68 Cougar. In those cars there is a vacuum box that controls the firing of the sequentials it has a disc with metal contacts inside that fires the bulbs in sequence as it rotates. Thanks for the advice, I had pretty...

    1964 Tail lights

Hi, new member of the forum and new T-bird owner. I just bought a '64 standard hardtop :D and I know they didn't have the sequential turn signals, but I was wondering if anybody has heard of anyone putting them in after the fact? Can you take the wiring out of a '65 and transplant it, or even...
