    Transmission oil A, F Dextron?

Ed, My advise for what it's worth, don't waste your $$$ on the old one, you may fix one thing but all the parts inside are probably on their way out too. I tried to fix mine with new seals in the shaft end and sealer etc. It was still a piece of junk. A new one will last many years and no more...

    Transmission oil A, F Dextron?

Ed, Just talked to Casco and they said they use DextronIII. I will still use F in the tranny. Casco said they have had no problems with the Dextron so I guess I will leave it in there. Rusty1

    Power Steering leaks

Another note: did some research on type A and found this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_transmission_fluid . Interesting read. Type A was a GM fluid originally. Replaced by Dextron and revised to DextronIII. A 50/50 mix of type F and Dextron will give an exact copy of the old type A. I can see...

    Power Steering leaks

Well this makes ME wonder, are these units only supposed to have F type fluid in them. I know the tranny MUST have F type but I thought the PS could use other like Dex III. Haven't driven the car yet so will drain it out if it is not the right stuff. Pump, reservoir, control valve all rebuilt...

    Electronic tach

Yea, I've looked at the one from Casco but don't like the look of it, I want something that more resembles the stock tach. There are some cheap Sun tach's on ebay and am thinking of getting one to try to modify. Thanks for the reply. Rusty1
