    Thanks Harley I meant I would read the manual before jacking the car up and work out all the possibilities. My reply sounded silly, like I needed a manual to work out how to jack-up the car! My guess is that the parking cable is rusted up or the mechanicals inside the drums. Or maybe weak...

    Just bought a 63 T-Bird but having brake problems. Brakes work fine when I start to drive but after about 5 miles, the back brakes start to squeak. After 10 miles, the rear brakes are binding. I can feel the drag and smell a 'brakes burning' smell. The rear wheels are hot but not the fronts...
