    lowering an 88 Bird

I beg to differ on the 4 cylinder springs. They are actually stiffer than the V-8 springs. My friend put in a 472 caddie motor in his 88 turbocoupe and it sticks up in the front and doesn't budge when you push on it.They are progressive rate springs only specific to the turbocoupes.I cut a coil...

    2.3L Performance Rebuild VS. Swapping A V-8 289

    I am modding my 84 turbocoupe.I did the LA-3 computer swap-Big VAM-boost control(16psi)-innercooler-88 scooped hood(looks cool)-E-6 manifold-eliminated the egr-T-3-3" exhaust with high flow cat. throttle body

I am getting an 88 2.3L turbo throttle body and was wondering if it is bigger than an 85 throttle body.I am also getting a big VAM and was wondering what gains I will get.I also will put in an 88 turbo roller cam, will this improve performance.

I have a 3in high flow cat into a 3 in magnaflow muffler and it sounds good.It has a throaty V-8 sound to it when it's opened up.It also gave me about 20hp with open exhaust.

    86 TC shutting down help!!

There is a TSB out on these for an updated TFI wire harness connecter to the distributer. My buddy had an 83 that would do the same thing and this fixed it.He also replaced the hall effects switch inside the distibuter. Also hard starts on the turbo 2.3 are due to oil build up in throttlebody and...
