    Help disassembling shifter

    Does anyone know how to remove the knob from the end of the automatic shift lever? I've unscrewed it, but it's held on by the internal shift lock rod and I can't figure out how to get it loose. I've attached a photo to show you how far I've been able to disassemble it. Thanks.[/IMG]

    I've found a deal on a rebuilt 292 y-block from a 57 ford (model unknown). Does anyone know if this engine would fit in the bird? I know the exhaust manifolds would need to be swapped, and I'm planning a 12v conversion anyway. Will the engine mounts and manifolds fit without modification...

    I didn't even realize it was a telescoping mechanism. I don't think there is a screw visible anywhere, and I'm not sure how you would engage and disengage the telescope. The collar just sits there. It doesn't twist or slide. I've shot WD40 to loosen it. The best I could figure is it was...

    Disassembling a '55 steering column

    Does anyone out there know how to disassemble a steering column for a '55? I'm trying to remove the two pieces with arrows pointing to them. I'm guessing the part that the turn indicator mounts to will require a bearing puller, but I have no idea about the decorative collar.
