My 61 was a barn find, and also was off road for years. I had to replace all the things you did, but I would drop the fuel tank and take a look inside. Mine was so rusty it would plug a fuel filter in just a few miles. Tanks are cheap if needed, make sure you test the sender while the tank is down.
