Does anyone have a chart showing the correct placement of the decals in the engine bay and trunk for a 1965 Thunderbird. I have some decals but am not sure of the correct location. If there is a PDF I can access that would be great. Thank you.

Yesterday I took the 65 out to see the Sunflowers a local farmer is growing and used it as a photo op. We also attended a meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Thunderbird Club near the Appalachian Trail. I thought you would enjoy these few photos.

My son is replacing the trunk liner in my 65. When he removed the old line he found four holes, evenly spaced, that appear to have stamped into the sheet metal. He is hesitant to install the new liner and leave these holes open. Does anyone know their purpose and if they should be plugged? I...
I've been trying to find out how the moniker 'Flair Bird' came to be used for this generation Thunderbird. It's easy to understand 'Bullet Bird' for the previous generation - just look at the front fender. Anyone know the answer to this dumb question?

I could use the knob for the headlights. PM me if you want to sell and let me know the price. I ordered the switch but the knob is not available and mine will not stay on.

My son has the car in Hagerstown and is doing some work on it for me. Nothing drastic but making sure it's safe. One job is installing new seat belts in the front and rear seats. He finally found some rust under the rear seat, driver's side. Even that's not bad.

The windshield on my '65 is pretty badly scratched just above the wiper on the driver's side. It looks like someone was using something sharp to take ice off. The windshield is OEM. My son thinks it can be 'polished' out but we were wondering if replacing it will detract from how it shows...
Here is a copy of something from tbirdparts.com which is a problem I am having. At a recent car show I talked with two other flair bird owners who indicated it is common and they both faced it.

I just bought a '65 hardtop last week for $8,000. It was a car a fellow ITC member was familiar with and is Very Good to Excellent condition. My son is a mechanic and he checked it out before I made the deal since he will do most of the work it needs (not much except cosmetic stuff to make it...
More picture here. My grandson and I were on our way to his Young Marine community service project, collecting letters for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Got a shot of my 02 Bird and now garageless Durango.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. I've had a 2002 Triple Black since September of 2008. In the past my wife and I had matching 89 Thunderbirds. But I've always wanted a classic. Yesterday I took delivery of this 1965 Hardtop.
I would have said antique but the truth is I never...
