    Voltage regulator condenser?

Hello On my 63 voltage regulator there is a lead from the wiring harness connector that goes to a grounding condenser. It looks like a condenser as there is no number left on it. I can't find any reference in the manual for this item or in any parts catalog. It crumbled when I unbolted it to...

Getting Oil Filter off '97 bird

Get a spider wrench from pep boys. wrap some duct tape on the filter (so not to scratch it.) and use your socket set to take it off. Works well for fuel and oil filters. Good luck

    MPG on bullet birds?

I recently installed a pertronics ignitor, electronic ignition unit in my bird. Also the high voltage coil as well. I saw a 3 mpg increase off bat. From 11 mpg to 14 mpg. Not bad for $120 in parts. It only too me an hour to put it all in and time it.

    MPG on bullet birds?

The 390fe forums say headers improve gas mileage. I am going to try that and see if that helps. I get 9 to 11 with a autolight 4 barrel (stock) carb. Good luck.

Possibly buying a 63 TBird this week....

I have 63 and love it. Look for rust in the trunk. Also look for bondo patches, where someone has filled in the rusted spots. HAVE A MECHANIC CHECK IT OUT, then you will relay know what your up agenst. A second set of eyes can save you a chunk of change. If you need parts Thunderbird HQ is...

    Cleaning your birds interior

What type of cleaners, like simple green would you use on the interior? What about armor all as a preservative? Mine is in great shape and I don't want to destroy it with a cleaner that's too harsh or a preservative that will just crack the vinyl later. Any thoughts or hind sight observations...

    62 T-Bird Timing Problem

You need to get under the car and mark the timing mark with white chalk for it to show up. The dwell has to be 26 to 28.5 deg. point gap 0.014 to 0.016. If the dwell is off, your timing is going to way off too. Bye the way, did you disconnect the vacuum line to the distributor before checking...
