    Front rotors warping (96 T-Bird)

As much as I love my bird, there are many things about them that MUST be upgraded before doing any seriously ballsy driving. The brakes is definately one of those things. I have warped at least three sets of rotors and have only let the pads get down to metal on metal only once (on accident)...

    new member need help asap

er2cc is probably right. Our trannys are CRAP straight from the factory. Try checking www.tccoa.com. Look for the link called technical articles. In it there is a link that talks about good shift kits that eliminate the 1-2 shift clutch-pack-overlap. This would be a god start but, it sounds like...

    CEL for DPFE Sensor

First go to your local Advance auto parts, They should have the part or at least be able to get you one. Then, if you already haven't, hit the book store fr the Hayne's manual. This book is god to anyone who loves their car. Also, if the bok is unclear at all, The auto parts store should be able...

    Trying to die

not trying to say your buddy's wrong, his is probably the safest way, but according to the dimensions on the Ford Racing crate motor, the only size differences between a 4.6 and a 460 is that the big block is 4 inches longer, and will be slightly taller depending on what air cleaner you use...

    Trying to die

I have a 97 T-bird with a 4.6 V8. I may be just looking for a fun way to die here but I REALLY want to cram a 460 big block under the hood. If anyone has ever seen this done or has any info or tips please tell me so I can make my chicken a monster.

1997 - replacing the turn signal switch.

Looks like this post is a little late, but If you haven't figured it out yet, if you're just replacing the relay the panel below the steering column should just be clipped on. They're those little metal clips so they don't that easy but you might break off the tabs they're on. If you're actually...

    Exterior Customization

I know Xenon makes nice lokking bodykits but not cheap, can usually get one off ebay for less than $400 though. And screw a mod chip anyway. All the "Mod Chip" is is a 9000 OHM resistor (which you can buy at Radioshack for about $ .15, yes I'm serious) that goes acroos the air intake temperature...

    Thinking of buying a bird

I paid 5 even for a 97 4.6V8 w/ 87000 on it and it has 125000 now and its still the best car Ive ever owned. Also, I have never had a single transmission problem. I say go for it.

    door ajar light

I got a 97 V8 too. Mine had the same problem when I got it too. Just take it to your local dealer. it saves you having to screw with hard to find wires and it only cost me like $20.
