Update from a long forgotton member!

Hey guys! I'm Jim, not sure if anyone remembers, but I used to frequent this forum a lot 6 or 7 years ago. I mainly poked around the 72-76 and the 77-79 sections. Life happened, and I more or less fell off the radar. One thing you never outgrow is a love of your first Ford! Back then, I had a...

    Now What?????????

I vote for the supercharger. Considering your engine's low milage, it will hold up well to the strain of a good supercharger. It would also be easier to stick one of them on, as opposed to swapping in a new motor, and dealing with the computer issues, motor mounts, etc...For ideas, try going...

    Considering a low mileage 79 T-bird.

Be careful. I also thought I was buying a low-mile '79, but came to find out that it had over 153,000 miles. I do not have this problem, but I have heard of rust issues with the gas tank. Take her for a GOOD drive..open it up on the highway. Mine ran great for the ten minite test drive, but...

    Question about wheel bolt patterns...

Ok, one more question...do late '70's Ford F-150s have the 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern? Sorry to ask so many questions. Jim

    Question about wheel bolt patterns...

So..for example, if I were to find a 1977 Cougar with slotted mag wheels, then those wheels would most likely have a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern? I know I have seen cars around town for sale with the slotted mags on them...just wondering...Thanks! Jim

    Question about wheel bolt patterns...

Hey all. I am wondering about the wheel bolt patterns on late 70's ford cars. Are they all the same? Are factory wheels interchangable between T-birds, Cougars, and Mark Vs? I know that there is a difference between '73 Thunderbird bolt pattern, and a '79 bolt pattern because the wheels off of...

    My Graduation Gift

When I complete High School in two years, my dad is going to give me his 73 Thunderbird! I know I mentioned it here before, but now, I can show you all what it looks like! The color is 'Mahogany Fire,' and it is completely original. Jim

    wheel and tire survey

I also have the stock Turbine wheels on my 79 TL. Currently, I am looking for some slotted mags. I love the look of the Turbines, but they just are not wide enough! With a good set of slotted mags, they can be nice and wide...and still look awesome. Jim

'77-'79 interior and body parts, free!

I would be very intersted, but I live in Ohio! What kind of condition is the front bumper in? does it have the guards, as seen on the majority of these cars, or does it have the three smaller guards? Please let me know. If you wish, you can send me an e-mail, it is [email protected]...

    Dad's 97 Van

This is my Dad's 97 Ford E-150 'Explorer' Conversion Van. It has got to be the coolest van around! Notice the polished aluminum AR wheels, dual exhaust(with Flowmasters, of course :) ) and it also has custom taillights! It has the 5.4 V8. On the inside, it has grey cloth, woodgrain trim, four...

    The 'Other; Thunderbird

Hey all! This is the 'Other' Thunderbird we owned. It is a 95 3.8 V6 with the ground effects, and spoiler. We loved the car, but it was going to need work that we weren't willing to pay for. I believe it had arounf 117,000 miles. It always turned heads wherever we took it. It will be missed. So...

    turbin center caps

Those are INCREDIBLE deals!! I sure wish I had the money...but I'm happy for now. Besides, in a few years I might get some new wheels(I am searching for slotted mags.) so I will count my blessings and be glad that my turbine wheels are still in good shape, and look great even without their...

    Slotted mags...

Also...how wide can I go with tires and wheels, in the front and back? I can see 255's in front, and 285's out back, without many clearance issues, but wanted to ask the experts! Thanks. Jim
