    Brightwork trim clips

As far as the rocker molding clips, on a return trip to the auto body supply, they had recently got in some plastic clips that really seemed like they would take the place of what was originally on the car. They needed to be trimmed a little bit here and there, but they worked out very nicely. I...

    70 TBird Trunk doesn´t open

You will probably have to try access from the passenger compartment. Remove the back seat and see if there is room to squeeze into the trunk. Mind you, off the top of my head, I’m not sure if it’s really possible on this particular car. It would have to be a smaller stature person, even if a...

    Brightwork trim clips

Since I what I own is a Glamour Bird, I was thinking I should have posted there. Clips are clips, so everyone may be interested anyways.

    Brightwork trim clips

Now that I have more time, I can try to get the pictures on. The 3 pictures in the Flickr album, old style clip, old clip compared to purchased clips, and one of all together. https://www.flickr.com/photos/unibody62/albums/72157710854543548

    Brightwork trim clips

I finally got around to having my surface rust taken care of this summer. After 27 years of owning this car, it was time to address this rust that has been on the car since purchased. It was just by all the lower rocker trim, even back on the lower quarter panels. I removed all the trim and was...

1967-1979 Tilt / Tilt Away Steering Columns Wanted

Very enlightening videos. Even though I have a low mileage 69 Bird, I'll probably want to fix my tilt pin before it causes problems. Thanks :yesnod

'68 T-Bird: Is this engine build a good combination?

I probably don't have much advice for you, as I'm not a expert on these engines. I don't know what the difference is between the heads, but they probably won't give you trouble to use them. I kind of think the main difference is in the block (bore and stroke). If you are not trying for speed...

    Freeze plugs

Has anyone attempted to replace freeze plugs while the engine is still in the car? I've got some starting to seep a bit, but I'm worried about having room to work on the big old 429 in my bird. I think there are some in the rear of the engine also, but I won't worry about those until they...

how many lights are supposed to light up?

I wouldn't think the turn signal switch would have anything to do with brake lights or headlights. Mine did go bad, but just the turn signals were affected. As I recall there are more wires in there than the standard switch, so who knows.

how many lights are supposed to light up?

The simple answer is, all of them. Mine is a 69, not sure what you have, but I think all 67-69 function the same. Three lights for each side and they all should light up for brakes, lights and turns. The original sequencer is very problematic, so if you can, you should try to find a electronic...

Front window rubber trim install help

I've never done one on the thunderbird, but on my 62 f100 that's basically the way to do it. It should squeeze in there, but it will be tight. Hope you don't have chubby fingers.

    water pump...

I had no problem getting mine for my 69 bird. I think I got it at autozone, but it's been at least 10 years.

No Brake Lights, signals,or flashers on my '67 Please Help!!!

There should be all the workings in the trunk on the drivers side (behind the panel). There is a small electric motor that operates a cam setup and also a electronic control. Sounds like your motor/cam is working if you are hearing the clicking, so it must be the other part. They have modern...

Vent and Air Control Levers on Dash panel

You can get to the whole thing by pulling the instrument panel. Then I think the control itself can be removed from the cluster. Trouble is, it only comes out just enought to see behind it because of the oil line that connects to the hydraulic wiper control switch. I have never disconnected...

    1967 Power Windows

My 69 has a bypass switch so that you can operate the window when ignition is off and I found out there is a bad relay on the engine side of the firewall. The bypass switch allows it to operate, but because of the bad relay, it does not work in the normal mode.

the flock has gotten bigger..new to glamour birds

Antenna has an optional switch right by the map light on my 1969. Mine does not have the switchand is supposed to raise the antenna when the radio is on. Of course, mine does not work and the radio only works sometimes. It is a flip dial and the switch for it is bad as well

    What is it worth?

Areas of rust to look at, I've heard that the frame is one area, around the suspension for the rear. Also witha vinyl top, around the rear window could be a problem. As I already mentioned, mine is rusted at the bottom of front fenders due to the trim holding moisture. Can't tell you anything...

    What is it worth?

Yes, I wish there was a better forum to bounce ideas around, but maybe it will grow. As for value, I would think if it is in that good of shape and all works well, it may be worth 10 grand. There is not a lot of them out there to compare prices. I would think that the 4 door (suicide door)...
