With everything you buy these days, from Ebay to even some of the "expert vendors", "caveat emptor" seems to be the rule! Personally, (and since my car won't be concourse, but close as possible), I just need all the visual help I can get. Just powdercoated the frame, so it's reassembly time...

Has anyone used Holley for rebuilding their carb? They offer an extensive restoration service for blueprintinting and restoring an original carb, but they are very expensive.

I'm looking for feedback: has anyone used the "new" design seals being offered by the various expert suppliers, like CASCO and Larry's? With the engine on the bench, can I expect satisfactory "standard" seal performance, installed by a qualified rebuilder, or should I go with the newer styles...

Here's one more to complicate the issue: I have cut an access hole in my hump to get to the overdrive solenoid assembly. This thing is impossible to get to, and my thinking was that a little access plate will be a nice addition. My car won't be concourse, but I doubt you could see it unless...

I need to clarify my earlier post: the rockers were installed while the body was on the frame. The floor panels were installed while on the frame, stitched in place, aligned with stiffeners aligned in relation to the mounting holes and rockers (what was left of them). Then the rockers are...

Me too! I had a front end, back end, and nothing in the middle. I did the standard "x" bracing at the doors, and similar cockpit bracing as above - lifted the body off with an eye hook at the center of the cockpit. It hung by a chain almost perfectly balanced. Once the rockers were fitted...

I was assuming that only Repro pads are available, short of searching for NOS somewhat laboriously. I'm wondering if there is one company out there making the pads for all the distributors, or if there are several manufacturers, and one may be better than the other. Anyone out there familiar...

Follow-UP: Where did you get your new pad, and how were you satisfied with fit and quality? Any problems you noticed on installation? I'm curious how hard it was to install the thin chrome strip that runs along the instrument cluster hood.
