reassemble 1957 dash and cluster Great help on pulling out the dashboard unit on my 57 bird. Has anyone written a step by step instruction on reassembly of the cluster and dash unit? I can reverse the steps in diss assembly but it's a bit confusing! Not an easy task for the best shop guys...

Actually, there is a thread on one of the forums that details how to permanently wire the switch so the dash lights stay on the brightest setting without having the interior lights come on. I just don't remember what leads on the switch to jump to accomplish this. When I find it, I'll post it.

I am ready to install the Dashboard and instrument cluster in my 57. Should I install the new padding on the metal dash before assembly?? Also there are folks saying not to glue the padding down. Any thoughts on gluing .
