sorry it took me so long to get back, how do they run it with the way everything is channeled under the car? or do they run it like on the 4.6? maybe run the pipes one over the other? I have no idea. can you maybe take a pic of yours so I can see? thanks Graham

both of my 79 cougars are like that, so its not just a 78 design flaw. :D plus if you fill it all the way up the neck its gonna take longer for the guage to come down off of the full mark.

its definitly your heater core, I have the same problem with my 88 TC I bypassed mine for now but I am going to change the heater core soon, I know that you have to drop the steering column and pull the dash out a little to get to the heater box I dont know if the chilton shows how to do it.. I...

thank you, I ended up swapping in a new 2.3 so everything is back to normal now :D but thanks anyways.. maybe I can use those links for some of the other things I need to work on.

the fuel filter should be located next to the frame rail on the right side in front of the rear tire. thats where its located on the 83 TC 85 5.0 and 88 TC hope you find it if not let me know I have a repair manual. Thanks Graham

ok I have asked two times this will be the third will a 400 bolt into an 88-TC with out changing anything?

will a 400 fit in an 88-TC? would it even be worth pulling the 2.3 to find out? there is no 400M... the 400 is a 400 and the 351M is a 351M same engine family...

anyone have an extra oil return tube? I am looking for one been told that ford no longer sells them. thanks
