can you locate the source of the hissing? I've had my bird for about a month and have had no trouble with the headlight doors so I dont think I can be much help here. there is a manual valve on the drivers side fender, make sure that it is completely turned to where the vacuum lines are facing...

problem number 1 never down shift to 1st gear.. wait till you are stopped might of done some internal damage by doing so.

I have the cooling lines. The EGR tube is not needed and can be crimped off.

bring this post back from the dead..... my 79 Cougar has a nice set of buckets and console. they are brown and black tweed with buckles in the seatbacks just like the ones in the 79 cougar sales brochure.
