    coolant in oil

That amount of miles shouldn't do any damage to the engine, but to be on the safe side, once the enging is back together, and running,(with a new oil change and filter) run the engins for 50 miles, and drain the oil, and put in new oil, and filter. As for checking to see if the parts are...

    coolant in oil

I don't think warpage is the problem. That usually only happens as a result of extreme heat for a long period of time. A broken head gasket will affect vacume. Are you getting any backfirie, or popping through the carb? Those are definite signs of a blown headgasket. The fact that it is...

    Surge Tank

Gary, I feel your pain. The first thing you need to do is get that intake off, and clean both mating surfaces good before putting on new intake gaskets. If the heads, and manifold arent warped due too excesive heat, you proably have that problem fixed with correct intake gaskets. Now, the oil...

    Sound System upgrade for 1964

Thanks for the information Gary. For a while now I have been debating what system to go with in my 66. I had heard horror stories about autosound, so decided against them. Now with your information I may reconsider my options. I want to talk to some who have installed the #630 and get their...

    What's with ebay?

To those of you who frequent the parts department of ebay motors, I am sure you are as frustrated as I because of the repete advertising of worthless screws, nuts and bolts that are constantly showing up on the site. It doesn't matter what vehicle parts you are looking for, this bombardment has...

    Numbers matching?

I got this info from the other Tbird forum I belong too. Numbers matching" typically meant that the engine was stamped with a portion of the car's VIN in order to tie the car to the driveline. In Ford's case, this wasn't done during the '50s and '60s until the '68 model year, but that's beyond...

    Signal light/ turn signal problem

I had a problem of no brake or directional signals im my Town Lamdau, and traced it back to an overloaded circuit breaker in the fuse panel. The previous owner had some jerk re-wire the car before I got in earlier this year, and he didn't know sh!t about wireing. I checked my electrical...

    64 thunderbird gauge problem

Connect a volt meter too the cvr. It should be putting out 5 volts. If it isn't it's defective. I bought a brake light switch from them that was defective. Just cuz it's new doesn't mean it perfect. Bob.

    64 thunderbird gauge problem

I suspect the cvr is defective. If it were maybe one gauge giving you trouble, it would probably be a sending unit, but it is highly unlikely all three sending units would be toast. Even new units are sometimes defective. I would advise getting another cvr. Bob.

    Inner tail light bulb cover

Don't know the answer too your question. I have three extras if you need one. Problem is, where the screws go through the hole to hold them on, the hole is broken, but there is a way to fix that. All you need to do is take some super glue, or jb weld, and glue a small metal washer to the...
