Terry, Check to see if the door jamb, where the hinges bolt on, are weak or cracked. I picked up a pair of doors for a '66, a one was weakened on the lower hinge. The doors on my '66 and the pair I picked up, were very rusty behind the hinge. Luckily, mine hadn't gotten weak in this area. Yet...

Thanks, Terry, I getting ready to overall paint this 'bird and didn't want to mess with the weather stripping. But, I think if it's not a bad job, might as well do it. My luck, later on, the putty knife would slip and a huge scratch would appear in the paint! Brutal!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how difficult it is to replace the window weather stripping in a '66 base coupe. I really didn't want to mess with it, but might have to. Looks like it fits/glued into a separate piece of trim. Thanks!

Thanks! Knock on wood, no electrical problems, yet. My left side pwr windows did not work when I got the car out of a barn after sitting 25yrs. Window relay and both motors were bad. Motors were rusty and swollen. Best of luck!

Fuseable link Thanks, boaterbob, This fuseable link has the flexiable wire loom, small eye connector,(#8). I pulled the slack through the firewall, now about 26" long. Would reach the coil. Guess I'll have to wait til I get to the underdash and see where it goes. Appreciate everyone's help.
