2002 Tbird, parked for about a year. When parked last, in turning off the ignition, key would not come out of the cylinder and the tumbler actually came out of the switch.... You can insert, push in and with the brake depressed start, however the key does not come out nor does the tumbler fully...

Need some assistance. I have a '02 Tbird, has been parked for about a year. When it was last parked, in turning off the inginition, the key would not come out of the cylinder and the cylinder actually "pulled out'...question is can it be reintalled and the key removed?
