window safety relay, is that the small aluminum relay with three wires just under the edge of the cowl on thefirewall?? and is it switched with the ignition key so it only provides power with key on?? thanks soo much for the help is greatly appreciated. :cheers

so ive jumped in on a couple threads but i wana post this individually. i need some help with where/how to bypass the resistor wire for the coil on my 65 'bird, its a single point system, not transistorized as far as i can tell and ive installed the pertronix conversion kit for pointless...

so are you sayin the flame thrower coil is too hot?? haha but what i wana know is where/what is the best wire to use as a keyed 12v power source for the pointless conversion...and damned if mine doesnt run like a champ with it and the flame thrower..i just dont have it set up with the correct...

alright ya'all thanks for all the help, ive got the pertronix ignitor, flame thrower coil, msd wires and champion plugs gapped to 0.040"...the thing runs awesome....especially when i jump the coil to the battery...seems there's too much resistance in that resistance wire to the coil... so i need...

thanks for the info, the parts counter guy at NAPA told me the "Champion" story. i checked the Pertronix website and they say "most applications benefit from an increase of 0.005" over factory gap setting"...so im thinkin bout gap'ing mine to 0.040-0.041". thanks for the help :cheers

what will a bigger gap do for me?? what do ya'all think about "Champion" spark plugs seems to me i've heard bad things...

which brand of spark plug do most people run in their 'birds and why? i have a 65 landau, my great uncles when new, ive installed pertronix points conversion and flame thrower coil with msd super conductor wires and accel heavy duty cap (all with summit racing) but im confused as to which plugs...
