I got mine from the Snap On tool dealer.

    Engine ID

Looks like 1965 valve covers (gold color) and 1964 alternator.

    Engine ID

Autolite 2100 would NOT be original for 1960 T-Bird. The casting number on the intake manifold would be helpful as far as year goes. Displacement? I would expect 390.

    Removing Radio Question

The console is between the front seats with the window switches (if you have power windows) and the seat belt warning light. The side panels are above the carpet and go forward from the seats toward the firewall under the dash. The stainless steel trim above the carpet is secured by screws and...

    Removing Radio Question

Easy enough to do. Remove the knobs and retaining nuts. Remove both console side panels. Unplug the wiring and the antenna lead. Remove a supporting brace on each side and pull the radio out.

    Turn Signal

When I read "brake lights work only the outer elements "do not light up on outside bulbs", I thought the outer bulbs did not light up when you press the brake. After reading your last message, I would say the contacts in the flasher/sequencer are not working properly. The contact points need...

    Hood Hinges

I have helped this problem in two ways in the past. One is to elongate the mounting holes to lower the hood. The other way is to rotate the hood and hinges as a unit.

    Turn Signal

If I understand correctly, the outer bulbs are not illuminated for turn signals or brake lights. If I am right about this, I would think the turn signal relay is bad. If only the flasher was bad, all six brake lights should come on. These relays don't go bad very often. I'm sure I have some...

    lights???

Eric" The turn signal switch sends power to both when you activate the T.S. switch. power goes to the sequencer (flasher) to start the sequencial lights. Power goes to the turn signal relay to tell the system which side the sequencial lights should flash on. Do you have your wiring diagram yet??

Lifters, push rods, and compression -- 390

Kapejo: I don't have the exact answer to your question yet. I suggest you check your valve clearance per the shop manual. That would involve collapsing the lifter and measuring valve stem to rocker clearance.

Looks like you have some serious electrical inspecting to do. Get the wiring diagram out!

    lights???

It's a little complicated, isn't it? You say the sequencer make a "crazy" noise when you've applied the BRAKES.. What about when the BRAKES are not applied? If you decide to get a new flasher/sequencer, I can help with that. I have a new one for sale. I'm really lost re your remarks about...

    lights???

The brake light relay may "click", but not be supplying current to the turn signal relay or the turn signal relay may need to be replaced.
  19. T

    lights???

Eric: I think you should tackle your two problems one at a time. Follow your brake light power from the fuse box to the brake light switch to the relay in the luggage compartment ( which could be the problem). Make sure you have battery power to the relay. Then the circuit goes into the turn...
