    The seat belt warning light comes on for 15 seconds and then is extinguished by a bi-metalic switch. No wires to the seat belt! (Talking 66 Landau here.)

    No need to remove the radiator. After you remove the top piece, each side piece will be removed, though they may be bolted together at the bottom.

    Why would you expect the alternator to "click:? It could be that your neutral start switch is stuck in the EXTREEM park position, which would involve reaching under the dash to move the switch off the stuck position. Have you tried to crank the car by jumping from the battery to the starter...

    Speedometer: More than likely, you need to replace the speedometer drum, BUT first be sure the speedometer cable is free of any kinks or discontinuities. I would drive the speedometer head with another cable. You could have easily gotten water in the carburetor. Maybe you should have...

    Lower Control Arm bushings

    I did not say the arm NEEDS to be removed. It's easier to do it on the bench and removing the lower ball joint is no big deal. One nut, one whack and it's out. Besides when installing the bushing, you should use a spacer between the front and rear flanges to keep them from collapsing.
