    What tires?

Coker will have "period correct" tires; proper width of white walls, even bias ply look radials. If that's important to you, then it will cost you. Otherwise, any local tire dealer can get good quality whitewalls for a lot less.

    1962 body panels

This guy is parting one out: https://www.tbirdforum.com/forums/15925-post1.html

    Power windows don't work

I'm not sure how they did it in 57, but the panel in my 64 has breakers above the glass fuses that are more-or-less integrated into the panel. I had to remove the kick panel entirely to access them, disconnect the terminals from the screw-lugs, and pry them out.

    1965 instrument voltage regulator

Fuel level, water temp, and oil pressure gauges are on the same circuit. Fused 12 volt power goes to a Constant Voltage Regulator (CVR) that generates a constant 6 volts. Six volts goes to each gauge, and each gauge is grounded through a variable resistor (senders). The gauges are all the same...

    Brakes dragging/wheels locking

I don't believe in coincidences. The older Fords used a pressure switch teed into the hydraulic brake line, so this is telling me that your master cylinder is, somehow, building pressure an not releasing it. From the factory these came with a single master and drum brakes at all four corners...

    painting springs

I would try preparation with a wire brush, followed by two Duplicolor products, available on the shelf at most auto parts stores. Rust Fix has a mild acid that chemically converts light rust and primes bare metal. Follow directions, and apply a top coat of semi-gloss black engine paint. That...

    Brakes dragging/wheels locking

You may have water in your brake lines that expands when hot. Although there is no scheduled maintenance to change out brake fluid for these cars, there is for many European cars, and it makes sense because DOT3 fluid absorbs moisture over time. I would change out the fluid and see if that...

    Hello Everybody

Probably worn components in the steering gear. A company called Lares remanufactures steering gears. You send yours in and they rebuild it and send it back. You can do it through RockAuto for $270 plus shipping.

    1955 trailer hitch?

Seriously? Maybe you should trade the car for an old pickup.

    heater control valve vacuum pressure

A simple lever valve that size shouldn't take any more than one pound of force to operate (probably a lot less). The diameter of the vacuum cylinder is about 1-1/8", meaning that it is about 1 square inch area. So 1 pound divided by 1 square inch = 1 pounds per square inch. That equals about 2...

Is it OK to disconnect power steering from a '57?

"Original" is typically a better decision with respect to the value of the car. But it depends how much the rest of it is original.

    New Rims

For the 235/75 R15 tire, a rim width of between 6 to 8" is recommended. Being on the upper limit wheel width may not be the look that you are after.

86 Thunderbird Ignition Wiring Diagram Needed

That model TBird is the same Fox chassis as the Mustang, just stretched about 4", so most of the wiring should be similar if not identical.

86 Thunderbird Ignition Wiring Diagram Needed

The wire colors probably don't change color on the mated plug, so that is probably the most straightforward solution. Even a wiring diagram is unlikely to contain a pinout for each connector.

    Cheap, no fuss, radio replacement

Since it's a hard top with no center pillar I've assumed that the pillar at the rear passenger's ear was called a B pillar. These are the 5x7 "ultra thin" speakers that I installed. Sound quality is "just OK"...

    Cheap, no fuss, radio replacement

I replaced the 4x10 dash speaker with two 4" diameters for stereo sound. I don't have a factory rear speaker, but I know stereo speakers are made for that space. To get speakers in back I installed two slimline 5x7s behind the headliner.

Is it OK to disconnect power steering from a '57?

You know how to remove the belt from the power steering pump, big guy. You can't fool me. ;)
