    Just a note, if the gas is brown like you say, then you should replace the fuel tank, I had the same thing with a 64, it will never go away and cause many problems.

    coolant in valve cover

    My car is using coolant, engine runs great (last run 80mph) no white smoke at tail pipe, plugs look fine no leaks but when I removed the valve cover, anitifreeze was evident. Best guess on intake gasket head gasket or something else.

    To replace the shift lever you do not have to remove anything just, drive out the pin holding it in. Just done two of them on a 64 and a 65.

    Hi: When I got the car and checked it over the carb was full of rust, water and dirt as was the lines,filter and tank. Cleaned carb new filter new sending unit flushed out lines and drained tank. Car runs great but there is still fine rust in filter. Question? Buy driving and running the car...

    a/c help

    Hi new to this form so I hope this works. I have a 64 bird that has been put away for 20 years. The last thing I have to get working is the a/c. The system was emty when I got the car. Had someone look at it and we pressurized the system with nitrogen to 100 lbs. No leaks and the sytem...
