    rear springs

I have a 65 and my springs are under. I had mine replaced about 2 years ago by a good mechanic. The concern he had with getting something stiffer was that the ride would not be as smooth. Mine is 23. I assume you are measuring to the the top of the wheel cutout on the fender. Air ride...

    window regulator spring

1965 tbird. Anyone have a pic of the spring on the regulator for the front doors? No pic in the shop manual. I purchased my car and the spring was in the trunk. Window works but jams up about every 2-3 months and I have to remove the door panel, loosen the bolts a little, move it around, and...

    ammeter charging

Old regulator is a cool looking piece of electro/mechanical engineering. Saved it. I am sure there is away to repair it by cleaning or filing points. Any suggestions?

    ammeter charging

I got in the 65 and wouldn't start. Put the trickle charger on it overnight and the light never came on showing the battery as charged. Flicked the switch to full charge and indicator light came on as battery charged and car started up. While idle ammeter is in the middle, when driving it is...

    66' Interior

Well I used the dye and it looks pretty good. I used the VHT vinyl dye and the duplicolor degreaser(VHT wasn't available at parts store.) Used the Satin white on the door. I saw afterwards that another company has an off-white that probably would have worked better. The degreaser really...

    power rear quarter windows

got 2 switches from Larry's thunderbird and all 4 windows working. Should have gotten all 4 as the 2 I replaced just crumbled on removal.

    power rear quarter windows

The way I got the motor and regulator into position was to attach the moor loosely with one bolt. Push the regulator and motor into place. Put a couple of bolts in to secure regulator. I drill a couple of 1/2 inch holes into the housing over the locations where the motor bolts to regulator...

    power rear quarter windows

65 power windows. My rear quarter windows have never worked but since they have been up, no problem. Now I am fixing and have juice to both working. One I can just hear the motor spin. The other is a bit labored and may need just some cleaning and lube. I have the panel off, an I am...

    66' Interior

dye for the door panels? Does dye look decent when done? I have the white/off white interior on a 65 hard top and made the mistake of using too strong a cleaner. Now some very white on the inner armrest/door handle area. I was wondering about some dye or polish solution as I think it can...

    EFI/TBI for '64

If you are getting 11, that is pretty good. Don't know how much more you can coax out of an engine that big, old and with the heavy car around it. I get less than 9 when I check and that is mainly around town. I like to speed when I can, car loves to run.

    Cigarette Lighter as a power source - 65 T-Bird

The fuse was not blowing, the cigarette lighter outlet was just acting as a cigarette lighter outlet. It works long enough to get the lighter hot, then stops. If I plug in the cigarette lighter, it works as it should.

    Cigarette Lighter as a power source - 65 T-Bird

I've tried mine as a power source to plug an Ipod into and it works for about a minute, then shuts down. I am guessing it is something in the electric circuitry that does not want that much power as a constant on that circuit. Haven't really tracked the whole thing down. Would be interested...
