Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Thunderbird! Looks like you have a bit of work ahead of you. Sounds like you're not new to auto restoration, but the T-Bird is unique is some regards: it's a complex, low-end luxury car built on the Lincoln assembly line (but a lot of people see the Ford emblem and think "sports car.)

I've had my car for about 8 years--poured a lot of time and money into it and made some good friends along the way. Sadly, though, the market for restored Thunderbirds, particularly hardtop models, is very weak. I gave up on the idea of getting my money back quite a long time ago. Worth it, though.
