Did your horn quit working as well? On Fords, they supply power to the horn and cruise on the same circuit.
My cruise quit and the horn became inop. It turned out to be a broken wire in the cruise/horn harness at the base of the column on the right side. Where the wires come from a plug to where they disappear into the protective sheath just tug gently on each wire to see if one pulls out. If one comes out then slit the sheath and solder the wire together.
